Biography of Yuandong Wang:

Obtained a BSc in Mining Engineering and an MSc in Safety Engineering, both from Huainan Mining Institute, China; an MSc in Computer Science, an MSc and Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering, all from Stanford University. Worked in Huainan Mining Institute as a teacher and researcher, a visiting research scholar at theUniversityofNottingham,UK, a research assistant and post-doctoral research associate atStanfordUniversity. Worked in Schlumberger from 2002 to 2012 as a senior reservoir engineer and principal engineer in consulting services. Currently working for PetrobrasAmericaas an Advanced Senior Reservoir Engineer, conducting studies on deep water reservoir development inGulf of Mexico. Completed numerous studies on various types of hydrocarbon reservoirs located all over the world. Expertise includes reservoir characterization, simulation, management and optimization.

Member of Editorial Review Committee for SPE Journal of Reservoir Evaluation and Engineering, with an award of outstanding technical editor in 2008. Reviewer of Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering since 2007 and Journal of Canadian Petroleum Engineering.
